Finding the assistance you need shouldn’t be hard. While Scottsdale Community Partners offers many programs and services to help those in need, sometimes what we offer doesn’t provide all the aid you might need. Below we have compiled a list of additional helpful links and resources that offer amazing services and programs.

Scottsdale Community Assistance Office (CAO)

The CAO manages a variety of federal and local funds and programs that help improve the quality of life for low to moderate-income families and assist in the stabilization of Scottsdale neighborhoods. The CAO manages the city’s affordable housing program (HOME Program) and offers qualified residents a housing rehabilitation opportunity (roof repair / structural repair). The CAO collaborates with non-profit agencies and other city departments, to address and meet both basic and critical human needs.

City of Scottsdale Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program

This program is designed to assist families and individuals to work towards their goal of becoming financially independent. FSS participants work closely with Case Managers to establish short and long-term goals to help improve the financial well-being of Scottsdale residents.

Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)

The program provides affordable and safe housing opportunities for lower-income families, senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The Scottsdale Housing Agency (SHA) subsidizes the rent of eligible families by paying a rental subsidy directly to the landlord each month under a Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) Contract.

Scottsdale Youth and Family Services

Provides supportive intervention, education, and referral for families seeking help with parenting, child development, family conflict, alcohol and drug abuse, behavioral health services or juvenile law. Educational workshops for juveniles focus on: Study skills, money management, job skills, making good choices (saying “no” to drugs and alcohol) and life skills.

City of Scottsdale Senior Centers

Scottsdale Senior Centers provide residents with recreational activities, support groups, socialization, outings, special events, information seminars; a variety of social services that are available to meet the needs of seniors with case managers assigned and follow up home assessment visits. Other services include health and wellness (Gleaners healthy brown bag lunches) and celebrating holiday events.

Scottsdale Transportation Services

This website includes transportation information for bus services, Dial-a-Ride and the Cab Connection. When using the Cab Connection, they require a Scottsdale resident 65 years and older to apply in advance for discount cab fare that will not exceed $10. Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH)

The Heuser Family Medicine healthcare clinic provides personal care for families, which includes gynecological and obstetrical care, monitoring pregnant women, new borns, and children and on-site lab. While the Cholla Health Center is a family medicine model that puts an emphasis on providing services for the special needs population of the Cholla campus.

Scottsdale Vista del Camino Community Center

Del Camino website provides a link to a variety of services to Scottsdale residents to help prevent homelessness, meet the basic needs of individuals and families in crisis, relieve economic and emotional stress and assist individuals to maintain self-sufficiency. Vista Del Camino provides residents with information regarding Social Services, Career Center and Food Bank.

United Methodist Outreach Ministries (UMOM)

UMOM is the largest shelter assistance programs for homeless families in Arizona. They pride themselves on keeping families together by proving immediate emergency shelters, transitional housing and permanent housing options.

Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) 

They provide a meal, safe shelter and support services to help clients regain stability, begin to rebuild their lives and end their homelessness. Once in the shelter, clients meet with a Case Manager who helps the client build a unique case plan in ending their homelessness.

Scottsdale Family Advocacy Center

The Center includes a cross section of professional disciplines that investigate crimes against persons, which may involve CPS investigating child abuse case, police investigations of domestic violence, assault or sex crimes, adult probation violations, missing persons, criminal street gangs and internet crimes against children.
